Objective

·        To develop and support transnational networks to assist community and enterprise development.

 

Strategy

·        Promote transfer of knowledge, information and experience amongst LEADER groups

·        Engage in focused trans-national exchange

·        Analyse and adapt relevant development models,

·        Participate in selected joint venture developments.

·        Utilise information and communication technologies as a data resource to facilitate transnational exchange.

Indicative Actions

-          Identify compatible transnational project partner to advance concept of economic

-          Competitiveness through the use of regional identity.

-          Establish development agenda and joint initiatives with transnational partner.

-          Develop import/export market opportunities on a reciprocal basis for artisan and speciality produce.

-          Collaborate with transnational partners in the development of a virtual marketplace for quality certified local produce.

-          Provide a forum for the exchange of knowledge, techniques, crafts and artisanal methods between transnational development partners to facilitate new product development/diversification.

-          Explore on joint basis new approaches to the production, distribution and marketing and marketing of artisan and speciality food products

-          Number of Fuchsia Brand  members participating in transnational activity

-          Number of new markets developed

-          Increased food/tourism sales arising from transnational activity

-          Online sales of speciality produce arising from transnational activity

-          Number of common development strategies initiated

-          Number of  common marketing initiatives undertaken

-          Number of cultural links/twinning etc. facilitated

-          Number of development strategies shared/transferred
